The Early 1990s
Websites were simple way back in the day. The Internet back then for the majority of you who need a memory refresh was mostly in large institutions and a select few had decided that computers were going to be the future, people such as Steve Jobs and Michael Dell.
By 1995 1995 was when businesses started to see the benefits of computing and web design. They started to build small websites explaining what their businesses were while a few more people began to see the gigantic potential of the online community that was about to explode. In 1995 the 56K modem was the tool of choice so most websites had limited capabilities. As well as that you almost had to remember every web address as there was no universal search engine until 1998 when Google opened its first search engine.
What the Millennium Brought
The millennium brought great technology advances such as broadband and new computer languages with more functions and with faster internet connections websites could now have many complicated designs allowing them to upload and download large amounts of information. It was during this era that Steve Job’s and Michael Dell’s visions started to become true and home computers were more popular than ever.
2005 - Everyone Has One
Another 5 years pass and computers are about to become the main infrastructure driving the world’s economy, social media sites such as Facebook are about to get very popular very fast. The first smart phones are invented and people become almost addicted to the internet. Because of these changes more computer languages become used in everyday website design such as Java script, PHP and the world is now on its fourth HTML language.
